Bergen, Norway

7/2

Here in Bergen Norway, home of the Kroner (AKA: their dollar).  Although we have some funny stories as our dinner was 190 Kroner, the major beauty of this chilly and pricy city is what says it all.  I don't think these pictures need any explanation, The Creator knows how to make a jaw drop.  More tomorrow on the Norweigen Fjords Tour.  We bought lunch meat, cheese, bread, and chips and are ready to make the 12 hour day of it.  Last day of the trip before beginning the travel stops back to home sweet home.

7/3

Last day, last hope for McDonalds American bfast.  We knew we would not be let down as there was a sign for bfast starting at 7 out front.  Tom asked about bfast, and the man working said yes, we have bacon cheese, which is a bacon cheeseburger.  It is so funny the cultural differences, and I can't wait to go buy eggs, cheese, and tortillas when we get back.  At this same stop we had the mission of getting mustard for the sandwich items that we bought for a little picnic during the fjord tour (aren't we cute, or cheap either works ha). Mustard is not a common term here and Tom completed our mission by a series of word clues, "point to picture, yellow part, not cheese..."

Once we got on the first train heading toward the thick of the fjords it was constant awe and beauty. Waterfalls, rapids, and streams would appear from no where and mountains surrounded every side of us.  The tour was a total of 12 hours on train, bus, and boat. I am in so much awe by the work of The Lord. I'm reminded that I'm not in heaven yet when my body shivers and nose runs as I take in the sights.  I really can not describe the views better than picture or video.  It really was incredible and the perfect last day to a great trip.

Funny and surprising tidbits: We saw a few ladies that danced in front of one of the falls (weird, it was about 43 degrees and rainy), some locals literally have to travel by ferry here, and all tourists like to take pictures.  We really appreciate those who are just having a good time, some people come and complain about who knows what and do not look up to notice that they are in the middle of one of the most beautiful sites.

Ok world we're coming home!!! Tonight will be the last night and the last time we pack.  If you are reading please pray for safe travels.  It will be a long 24 hour trip home with flights and lay overs.  Plenty of people watching and sleeping in funny places before reaching Texas.
